Fellow of the Australian College of Clinical Psychologists. Membership of the College requires appropriate psychological qualifications and relevant clinical experience. Applicants must also pass a formal interview with an executive committee before joining the College. The College requires continuous, ongoing training, education and development from its members. It applies a rigorous review process on all members to ensure each member continues to meet the criteria of the relevant category of membership. Fellowship of the College is only granted to Full Members who have made a significant contribution to the profession and to the College.

Experience:

Clinical psychologist in private practice since 1985. I deal with a wide range of issues ranging from depression, stress, anxiety, family relationships, marriage breakups, child development, eating disorders, addictions, to more clinical conditions such as Dissociative Identity Disorder, Personality Disorders, Mood Disorders and Psychosis. I deal with a wide variety of patients who come from all walks of life. Common sources of referrals are from medical practitioners, psychiatrists, Government Departments, members of the legal profession and the Court.

Forensic Psychology: Assessment and Expert Witness Testimony to the Court since 1990.

Organisational Psychology: Providing psychological Services to government and non government agencies since 1995, including organisations such as Engineers of Australia, Department of Defence, ACT Division of General Practice, Legal Firms, Private Enterprise and the Canberra Embassy of the United States.

Supervision: Training and development of  intern psychologists.

Presentations & Workshops:

Leigh has given lectures and run workshops on a range of psychological subjects to a number of organisations including legal firms, psychologist organisations, government departments, local businesses and non profit organisations such as the Law Society and the Law Officers Forum. Topics have included:

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science - Australian National University

This degree has the equivalent of two Arts Faculty majors in Psychology as opposed to the more common single major in psychology.

Graduate Diploma of Applied Psychology - University of Canberra

This degree is comprised entirely of Psychology units.

Theta Healing® Practitioner
Leigh has completed extensive training in this modality, having done Theta Healing DNA 1&2, Theta Healing Advanced, and  Theta Healing Intuitive Anatomy.  He has been a practitioner of this modality for over two years and has used it successfully in a wide range of conditions.
